Service Description
This class is all about movement, using our breath and creating balance between our mind and body. Hatha Yoga works toward creating balance and uniting opposites. “Ha” meaning Sun and “tha” meaning Moon. This session will be filled with balancing our energies and working with our breath to allow us to sink into each of the postures, some with deeper and longer holds than others. The goal of this class is to release any built up tension, tightness and stress and leave you feeling centered, recharged and at ease. We will be using each phase of the moon as our theme and will be releasing that built up energy during the New Moon and Full Moon phases using aspects of Vinyasa flow and will be slowing it down in the phases between, recentering ourselves and restoring our energy by engaging in gentle movement. About Blair: Blair grew up dancing and her passion for dance was fierce, after many years she felt she needed to try something new and was craving to have that passion for movement again. This is when she found yoga. Her yoga journey started when she went away to University 10 years ago. Since then she has always had a strong passion for yoga and all of its benefits - physically, mentally and spiritually. Yoga taught her so much about how to be present in the moment and the ability to breathe through every posture and how this transfers into our everyday lives. Blair is a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher and strives to live her truth and to really live this yogic philosophy not only on the mat but especially off the mat as well. She wants her class to not only give you a work out but also a “work in” to your deeper self. It is important to Blair to create an inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable and safe to ask questions and grow alongside one another. Blair first came to yoga for the physical benefits but stayed for the spiritual and mental healing she feels after every class, she hopes to create this for each of you. Blair loves teaching at Olds Town Square and is looking forward to seeing you on the mat. Namaste
